Basket Raffle Saturday to Benefit Justin Shady, Family

RENOVO – The Renovo community has long been known to come together for their residents and friends and they have done it again when it came to the Shady Family.
A basket raffle will be taking place on Saturday, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park building located at 530 Erie Avenue for the Shady Family.
As described on the Facebook event for a future Bingo night coming up, on August 23, Justin Shady was involved in a horrible accident which led to him being life flighted to Williamsport Hospital.
He suffered from a collapsed lung, broken ribs, skull fracture, significant head injuries, a broken arm, and pelvic fracture.
He was placed on a ventilator and was thankfully taken off of that recently. He has since returned home to recover.
His wife, Steph, has been by his side as often as she has been able to, but it has been putting a strain on family finances and planning for caring for their boys.
“Justin is an amazing person and this is hitting him hard,” a Facebook post said. “He isn’t the type of person to just sit around, working or busy with the boys.”
Baskets are being accepted until Friday of this week for the raffle this Saturday.
