Shoe Bank to Give Free Sneakers, School Item

LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank will be open by appointment Saturday, Sept. 20, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Appointments are required and may be made from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Eligible kids and teens from wee ones through high school seniors can choose a pair of new shoes and new socks, as well as books to own. Free new back-to-school items will be given this month, too.

The Shoe Bank serves families who have Compass and who live in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School attendance area. Families who don’t have Compass may be referred by an agency, church, or organization.

Funding is provided by the Clinton County Community Foundation, the M&T Bank Charitable Foundation, civic groups, churches, and individual donors.
