Coudersport Downs Bucks 45-8 in Farwell

FARWELL- Bucktail football continued their rough season in their 2025 home opener in Farwell Friday evening. Coudersport compiled close to300 yards on the ground and racked up a 33-0 halftime lead on their way to a 45-8 mercy rule downing of the Bucks.
Bucktail’s offense sputtered in the first half, mounting just two total yards.
A pair of Christian Driskell red zone touchdown runs had the Falcons up 13-0 after one quarter.
Coudersport quarterback Coleman Freeman’s two yard run extended Coudy’s lead to 20-0. For the second straight week, Bucktail gave up a fumble recovery for a score when Driskell pounced on a bad snap on a punt attempt to give the visitors a 26-0 lead.
Coudersport pushed their lead to 33-0 following a Preston Ayers 16 yard run with 4:30 remaining in the half.
In the second half it was more Falcons’ rushing behind backup reserve Dustin Bailey. Bailey raced away on scores from 12 and 48 yards out. He led Coudersport on the ground with 116 yards on just four carries and the pair of scores.
The Bucks did mount a solid fourth quarter drive that was sparked by a huge 45-yard completion by Teagan Stone from Corbin Pentz to the Coudersport 6-yard line. Pentz rolled to his right and found Bransen Getz wide open on the touchdown score two plays later. Pentz then found Stone open for the two-point try.
Pentz finished 71 yards passing.
Levi Stevenson gave the Bucks a solid effort running the ball, especially in the second half. Stevenson finished with 58 yards on just 11 carries.
The Bucks will next be in action next Friday with a road trip to Smethport (0-4).
