Wildcat Cross Country Teams Split Quad Meet at Lewisburg

LEWISBURG – The Central Mountain cross country teams each picked up two wins in a quad meet hosted by Lewisburg on Tuesday.

On the boys’ side, the Wildcats defeated Midd-West 26–31 and Mount Carmel 25–30, while falling to Lewisburg 34–21. Leading the way were Damien Winner, Riley Gonzalez, Latrell Walker, Shane Walker, and Shayden Hill. With the results, the boys improve to 7–2 on the season.

The Lady Wildcats mirrored that performance, posting wins over Midd-West 22–33 and Mount Carmel 15–42, but dropping a decision to Lewisburg 46–17. Central Mountain’s top five runners were Grace Keohane, Aubrey Eiler, Emma Wolfe, Kaylie McCloskey, and Calienna Cardinal. McCloskey set a new personal record with a time of 24:59.67. The girls also move to 7–2 overall.

Both teams will return to action next Tuesday at Lock Haven University, where they’ll face Warrior Run, Milton, and Central Columbia.
