Danville Hands Lady Wildcats PHAC Loss

DANVILLE-The Lady Wildcat soccer team opened their PHAC schedule on the road at Danville, where they faced a tough challenge against the Lady Ironmen.

Early on, the Wildcats struggled to adjust to the physical style of play and frequent stoppages. Danville capitalized, striking first and building momentum that carried into a 4–0 halftime lead.

The second half provided little relief for the visitors. Danville struck quickly after the break and added another shortly after, effectively putting the match out of reach. A late goal in the closing minutes capped off the scoring, handing Central Mountain a lopsided defeat.

Head Coach Ryan Veltri said, “Goals surrendered in the opening and closing moments of halves have been costly, and tightening up in those stretches will be key if the Wildcats hope to compete in the PHAC’s demanding schedule.”

Central Mountain will look to regroup in their next matchup, a home PHAC contest against Midd-West on Wednesday at Malinak Stadium.
