Williamsport Runs Past Central Mountain, 42-0

MILL HALL – Williamsport used a dominant second quarter to break open Friday night’s game, rolling to a 42-0 victory over Central Mountain.

The Millionaires scored 29 points in the second quarter alone, highlighted by Giovanni White’s 22-yard touchdown run, a 47-yard scoring strike from Tevin Williams to Trey Damschroder, and Damschroder’s 80-yard interception return. White added another score just before halftime to give Williamsport a commanding 35-0 lead at the break.

Williamsport opened the scoring late in the first quarter when Williams ran it in from 11 yards out. He later capped the night with a 53-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, finishing with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. White led all rushers with 108 yards on 13 carries and two scores.

Central Mountain moved the ball at times, finishing with 198 total yards, but struggled to capitalize. Dalton McDermott paced the Wildcats with 84 yards on 24 carries. Quarterback Kyle Everett went 10-of-17 for 79 yards, connecting with Mario Serafini (3-35), Mason Masorti (3-19), Ricky Rohrbach (3-11), and Jacob Rembold (1-14).

Williamsport tallied 310 total yards, including 217 on the ground. Williams finished 5-of-9 passing for 93 yards and a touchdown. Damschroder caught two passes for 45 yards and a score in addition to his defensive touchdown.

With the win, Williamsport remains unbeaten. Central Mountain, still searching for its first victory, will look to regroup as the season continues.
