Wildcats Cross Country Splits at Tri-Meet
DANVILLE-The Central Mountain cross country teams were back in action Tuesday evening, competing against Loyalsock, Danville, and South Williamsport. The Lady Wildcats earned two solid victories, topping Loyalsock (23-34) and South Williamsport (15-50), while falling to a strong Danville squad (45-18).
Grace Keohane once again led the girls with a time of 21:15.17, followed by Aubrey Eiler (23:28.24) and Emma Wolfe (23:43.77). Rounding out the top group were Kaylie McCloskey (25:20.55), Liz McCloskey (26:29.74), Calienna Cardinal (26:59.42), and Abigail Winslow (27:53.52). Also contributing were Sophia Hoy (28:11.21), Addison Knipe (31:02.86), Sage Rippey (35:03.42), and Kennedy Metzger (35:30.89).
On the boys’ side, Central Mountain turned in dominant wins over Loyalsock (15-50) and South Williamsport (15-50), but dropped their contest to Danville (41-18).
Damien Winner paced the Wildcats with a time of 19:25.14, followed by Riley Gonzalez (19:49.83), Latrell Walker (20:07.11), and Shane Walker (20:14.49). Che McAllister (20:36.83), Gabe Houser (21:12.02), and Shayden Hill (21:17.74) rounded out the top finishers, while strong efforts also came from Will Stout (22:02.76), Xian Deems (22:47.21), Jaxon Hardy (22:49.15), Liam Darwin (23:13.17), Cody Cardinal (23:19.86), Myles Winslow (27:10.14), Rhys Swift (29:28.95), and Conner Gray (31:54.77).
Both teams will return to action on Tuesday, September 9, when they travel to Lewisburg Area High School.
