Danville Tops Central Mountain in Girls Tennis

DANVILLE – The Central Mountain girls tennis team traveled to Danville on Tuesday and came up short, falling 4–1 to the Lady Ironmen.

The Wildcats’ lone victory came in singles play, where Addison Lindsay picked up a straight-set win over Josie Bendle, 6-2, 6-3.

Danville answered back with Gyovanna Sundaresan defeating Lucy Walker in a three-set battle, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Alexa Preisz added another point for the home team with a 6-0, 6-0 decision over Lane Walker.

In doubles action, Elyse Spahr and Sanah Bhanushali took down Audra Eaton and Kassie Williams 6-2, 6-3, while Ellen Pena and Siyah Bhanushali edged Leah Wian and Tess Akeley in a marathon three-set match, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7-2).

The Lady Wildcats will next travel to Williamsport Thursday.
