BUDSTOCK Music Festival Returns to Tipple Park Grounds in Renovo

RENOVO – The sounds of summer will once again fill the air as the BUDSTOCK Music Festival returns to the G.R.A.H.P. Tipple Park Grounds on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The announcement came from BUDSTOCK Board President Gary Eberhard, who said the board is thrilled to bring the free, all-day music event back to its original site at the west end of Renovo. The Tipple Park grounds hosted the very first BUDSTOCK in 2015, making this year’s festival a homecoming of sorts.

A Full Day of Music
The lineup for BUDSTOCK 2025 promises something for everyone:
•11:00 A.M. – The Bucktail Marching Band, followed by the BUDSTOCK Music Scholarship presentation.
•12:00 Noon – Phil Reeder
•2:00 P.M. – Bud’s Friends
•4:00 P.M. – Kenny Lee Hawkins
•6:00 P.M. – Unhinged
•8:00 P.M. – 2 A.M.

From the hometown pride of the marching band to the closing act, the stage will be alive with talent.

Debut of Seth’s Guitar Heroes Competition
This year marks the first-ever “Seth’s Guitar Heroes” competition, adding a new highlight to the BUDSTOCK experience. For a $5 entry fee, guitarists can take the stage and showcase their skills for the crowd. The winner will walk away with a minimum $50 cash prize—or up to 75% of entry proceeds, whichever is greater.
Festival organizers encourage musicians of all ages and skill levels to enter, making this inaugural contest both exciting for participants and entertaining for the audience.

Family Fun and Community Traditions
BUDSTOCK remains committed to creating a family-friendly atmosphere. A coloring table for young artists will be available, encouraging creativity and giving children a chance to display their work.

One tradition missing this year will be the BUDSTOCK Cornhole Tournament. The event is being rescheduled due to a Penn State home game that falls on the same date. Tournament organizer Carl Gentzel has assured fans that it will return later in the season, with details still to come.

Meanwhile, the ever-popular “Baskets for BUDSTOCK” fundraiser is already underway. Local designers continue to impress with their creative gift baskets, which support the festival. Those interested in donating a basket or lending a hand can contact organizers Gary (570-660-4176), April (570-484-1021), or Lesa (484-824-1109).
Raffles, T-Shirts, and More

In addition to music and food vendors, attendees will have the chance to win big with raffle tickets featuring more than 50 gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. Festival-goers can also purchase the official 2025 BUDSTOCK T-shirt—a collector’s item and a perfect souvenir.

A Summer Tradition
Since its beginnings a decade ago, BUDSTOCK has grown into one of Renovo’s most anticipated summer traditions, bringing together live music, community spirit, and local pride. This year promises to be no different.
“BUDSTOCK is about more than just the music—it’s about community, fun, and ending the summer on a high note,” Eberhard said.

With free admission, a full day of entertainment, and something for every age group, BUDSTOCK 2025 is set to be one of the highlights of the season.
