Knights of Columbus Cornhole Tournament Raises Funds for Bucktail Scholarships
By Kevin Rauch
RENOVO – The Knights of Columbus hosted their annual Cornhole Tournament Saturday afternoon as the bags started flying at 1p.m. sharp. Throwers included some youngsters right on through to more experienced adults as all were welcomed to attend. Around three dozen participants were throwing throughout the afternoon next to St Joseph’s Rectory along 10th Street and Huron Avenue. Passerby noticed the action and upon stopping took advantage of the food sale and basket raffles also set up by the Knights of Columbus. The yearly events’ proceeds go towards the annual scholarship fund that the KOC award every June to Bucktail students.
