Wildcats Battle Hard but Fall to Dubois on Penalty Kick
DUBOIS- The Central Mountain boys soccer team came up just short Friday night, falling 1-0 to Dubois in a tight defensive contest. The game’s only goal came in the second half when the Beavers converted on a penalty kick.
Despite the result, the Wildcats created plenty of chances in the attacking third. “Plenty of shots on target for CM, but couldn’t find the back of the net,” Head Coach Billy Hook said.
On the other side of the field, the Wildcats were steady throughout the match. “Defensively the Wildcats played very well,” Hook added. Leading the effort was goalkeeper Jaggar Pardoe, who turned away six shots to keep Central Mountain within striking distance.
The Wildcats will look to regroup quickly with another non-league matchup on Saturday morning. They’ll travel to take on St. Mary’s at 10 a.m.
