Police Blotter August 6, 2025: PA State Police – Lamar Barracks
Death/Suicide
LAMAR TOWNSHIP—On July 30, 2025, PSP Lamar investigated a report of a deceased male found in a vehicle on US-220, approximately a quarter mile north of I-80 in Lamar Township. After investigation, it was determined that the victim, Charles Jenkins, 29, of Hanover, PA, died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Suicide Attempt
FLEMINGTON BOROUGH— On July 30, 2025, at 10:22 a.m., PSP-Lamar responded to a report of a suicidal individual on High Street. The person was transported to UPMC Lock Haven Hospital for medical treatment and a mental health evaluation.
Harassment with Physical Contact
MILL HALL BOROUGH—On July 28, 2025, PSP-Lamar responded to a report of a physical domestic altercation on Girard Street. As a result of the incident, non-traffic citations for physical harassment were filed against four individuals through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Missing Person
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On July 27, 2025, at 11:00 p.m., William Smith, 42, of Heckmans Gap Road in Lamar, was reported missing and endangered by his parents. Smith is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, black shorts with white stripes, and blue sneakers. He is reportedly traveling in a green/grey 2021 Toyota RAV4 with PA registration LJS-7012. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement immediately by calling 911 or the Pennsylvania State Police Lamar Barracks at 570-726-6000.
Motor Vehicle Accident
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On July 27, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a one-vehicle crash occurred on I-80 West near mile marker 189.0. Elimelech Feitman, 20, of Lakewood, N.J., was traveling at a high rate of speed when he swerved and sideswiped the left guide rail. No injuries were reported.
Theft
FLEMINGTON BOROUGH— On July 27, 2025, at 2:59 p.m., PSP-Lamar received a report of the theft of a Milwaukee brand fan valued at $109 from an unspecified location on Wright Street. This investigation is ongoing.
DUI
FLEMINGTON BOROUGH— On July 26, 2025, at approximately 2:01 a.m., PSP-Lamar conducted a traffic stop on a white 2013 Ford Escape at the intersection of High Street and Canal Street for traffic violations. During the investigation, the driver, Ryan Lamey, 39, of Lock Haven, was found to be under the influence. Lamey reportedly consented to chemical testing, and criminal charges are pending.
Found Property
CHAPMAN TOWNSHIP— On July 26, 2025, at 7:40 p.m., Milwaukee power tools were found on SR-120 (Renovo Road). To claim the lost property, call the PA State Police Lamar Barracks at 570-726-6000.
Motor Vehicle Accident – Commercial Vehicle
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On July 26, 2025, a crash occurred on I-80 East near mile marker 187.2. Geri Hoffman, 22, of Northumberland, was traveling in the left lane and attempting to pass a Freightliner driven by Murad Shams, 26, of Philadelphia, who was in the right lane. As Hoffman passed Shams, her Subaru Crosstrek hydroplaned due to wet road conditions and entered the right lane, where the Freightliner struck the passenger side of her vehicle head-on. Hoffman’s Subaru then continued off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and came to a stop. The Freightliner came to a controlled stop on the right shoulder. No injuries were reported.

LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On July 26, 2025, at 8:13 a.m., a crash occurred on I-80 East near mile marker 176.4. Corey Hammonds, 41, of Ringgold, Ga., was traveling in the right lane when he approached a Freightliner driven by Mahdi Alidadi, 47, of North York, Ontario, from behind. Hammonds admitted he was distracted by the GPS on his tablet, which caused him to strike the rear of Alidadi’s vehicle. Hammonds sustained minor injuries, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
Hit and Run
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On July 25, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash occurred on Laurel Run Road. Blaise Dauberman, 23, of Beech Creek, was traveling north when his vehicle was struck by Mariah Belcher, 27, of Jersey Shore, who was driving southbound. The collision occurred on a bridge as the vehicles passed each other in opposite directions, resulting in both driver-side mirrors being clipped. Belcher reportedly continued driving without stopping to exchange insurance information. Dauberman turned around and followed her for several miles before pulling over and contacting police. No injuries were reported.

PORTER TOWNSHIP— On July 25, 2025, at 12:54 p.m., a crash occurred on Nittany Valley Drive. Ellen Boll, 25, of Tallahassee, FL, was slowing down because the vehicle in front of her was braking for unknown reasons. The driver of a 2014 Buick Encore failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Boll’s Toyota Camry. Both drivers pulled off the right side of the road to avoid blocking traffic and came to a final stop off the roadway. Tressler’s Towing assisted on the scene.
Found Property
CASTANEA TOWNSHIP— On July 25, 2025, six 9mm Winchester shell casings were found on Lower Creek Road where the railroad tracks intersect with 828 Lower Creek Road, just north of the US-220 overpass. An ammunition box was also found along the roadway near the Castanea Fire Hall on Lower Creek Road.
Motor Vehicle Accident – Commercial Vehicle
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On July 25, 2025, at 9:27 p.m., a crash occurred on I-80 West near mile marker 175.1 involving three vehicles. Joseph Dwyer, 55, of Roselle Park, N.J., Shamil Gaziev, 34, of Des Plaines, Ill., and Mark Lehman, 55, of Mount Pleasant, PA., were all traveling westbound. Gaziev was in the right lane, while Lehman was in the left lane attempting to pass. Dwyer was also in the right lane, behind Gaziev, when he moved onto the right shoulder to pass. As the vehicles approached the bridge at mile marker 175.1, Dwyer swerved back onto the road in front of Gaziev, then collided with Gaziev at the rear driver’s side. The impact caused Dwyer’s 2019 Honda HR-V to lose control, cross both travel lanes, and crash into the bridge barrier on the left side.
Gaziev then moved into the left lane, where his 2020 Volvo struck the passenger side of Lehman’s 2024 Freightliner. Gaziev continued back into the right lane, and Lehman struck the undercarriage of Dwyer’s vehicle, which had flipped onto its side, pushing it further along the interstate before all vehicles came to a final stop. Dwyer and Gaziev sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash, and both of their vehicles were towed from the scene.
Stalking/Harassment
LAMAR TOWNSHIP—On July 24, 2025, at 10:38 a.m., PSP-Lamar received a report of stalking and harassment involving a 51-year-old woman from Lock Haven. The investigation is ongoing.
Terroristic Threats
MILL HALL BOROUGH— On July 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., PSP-Lamar troopers responded to Frederick Street for a report of messages containing Terroristic Threats. An investigation determined that messages sent by a 38-year-old Lock Haven man to a 39-year-old female victim met the criteria for Terroristic Threats. Charges were subsequently filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Criminal Mischief
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On July 22, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., PSP-Lamar investigated a Criminal Mischief incident in which two juvenile boys threw rocks through the windows of an abandoned pickup truck in the area of Dinadan Drive and Lancelot Lane. According to the report issued by PSP-Lamar, the driver’s side front window and the front windshield of the pickup truck sustained a total of $600.00 in damage. The juveniles’ parents were notified of the incident. Because the boys are under the minimum age of culpability per the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, no criminal charges were filed.
Harassment w/Physical Contact
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On July 22, 2025, at 8:40 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police in Lamar investigated a physical altercation between a 40-year-old man from Jersey Shore and a 37-year-old man from Beech Creek following “an apparent road-rage incident” on Pennsylvania Avenue. Harassment and other related charges were filed against the Beech Creek man through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Motor Vehicle Accident
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On July 17, 2025, at 1:59 a.m., a crash occurred on I-80 West at mile marker 180.6. Joseph Reed, 22, of Lock Haven, was traveling westbound and reported that he was passing a tractor-trailer in the left lane when, for unknown reasons, his 2000 Mercury Marquis left the roadway via the south berm. The vehicle struck a rock wall, rolled over, and came to a final stop upright, facing south. Reed was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries to his leg and face as a result of the crash.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On July 8, 2025, at 1:06 p.m., PSP-Lamar received a report of retail theft at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Mill Hall. Charges were filed against a 56-year-old Lock Haven man through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02 for stealing merchandise valued at $126.41.
Fire – Undetermined Origin
LOCK HAVEN—On July 4, 2025, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Lock Haven City Fire Departments responded to a reported structure fire at 13 Linden Street. A State Police Fire Marshal was requested to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. It is believed the fire started in a second-floor bedroom; however, due to the extensive damage to the structure, the exact cause could not be determined. As a result, the fire will remain classified as undetermined.
DUI Crash
RENOVO BOROUGH— On July 3, 2025, at 10:53 p.m., a crash occurred on Erie Avenue between 10th and 11th Streets. Lynnea Kirk, 21, of Lock Haven, was driving eastbound on Erie Avenue when she struck a legally parked vehicle on the right side of the road. Kirk’s Hyundai Venue sustained disabling damage to its front end, while the parked vehicle was damaged at the rear. After the incident, Kirk was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Assault/Bodily Injury
NOYES TOWNSHIP— On June 2, 2025, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., PSP-Lamar troopers responded to an assault reported on Plank Road. While investigating, troopers received a second report of a physical altercation between two neighbors. Both parties ultimately chose not to pursue charges, and no further action will be taken.
