Harassment w/Physical Contact
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP— On July 22, 2025, at 12:57 a.m., PSP Lamar troopers were dispatched to Crist Lane for a 9-1-1 hang-up. On the scene, troopers learned that a domestic dispute had occurred between a 43-year-old male and a 36-year-old female, both of Lock Haven, during a child exchange. Both parties allegedly hit each other in the face with an open hand and were cited for Harassment as a result of the incident.
Megan’s Law/Failure to Comply
BEECH CREEK TOWNSHIP—PSP Lamar conducted an investigation after receiving a report that Megan’s Law offender Joshua Bassett, 34, of Beech Creek, failed to update his registration information as required sometime between May 10 and July 21, 2025. According to PSP’s report, during the investigation, troopers identified several additional violations of Megan’s Law. As a result, Bassett was charged with five counts of failing to update his sexual offender registration information through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Motor Vehicle Accident
PORTER TOWNSHIP—On July 18, 2025, at 7:35 a.m., a crash occurred on Narrows Road involving Allen Walk, 61, of Howard. Walk was traveling west when his vehicle, a 2014 Ford Mustang, left the roadway on the right side, striking a utility pole and then an embankment. The vehicle rolled onto its roof, slid across the roadway, and came to a final stop on its roof off the left side of the road. The Mustang sustained significant damage to the front end and roof. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for suspected minor injury, and the car was towed from the scene.
Trespassing
NOYES TOWNSHIP— On July 18, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., PSP Lamar was notified of a trespassing incident that occurred on Plank Road. Upon investigation, it was determined that a known suspect, identified as a 70-year-old male of Westport, trespassed at an unspecified location on Plank Road. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-03.
Theft/Crime by Deception
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On July 12, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., an unknown individual(s) initiated a conversation with an adult male victim from Loganton via text message. The conversation escalated to the exchange of nude images, with the victim sending multiple photos. The victim was then blackmailed by the unknown suspect(s), who demanded gift cards in exchange for not distributing the images. PSP Lamar is actively investigating this incident.
Motor Vehicle Accident
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On July 9, 2025, at 8:36 p.m., a motorcycle crash occurred involving Jonas Tomalonis, 25, of Mill Hall. According to the report issued by PSP-Lamar, Tomalonis failed to negotiate a left-hand turn and lost control of his motorcycle, which then left the roadway and traveled approximately 18 feet through a grassy, brush-filled ditch. The motorcycle tipped onto its side, sliding further as Tomalonis was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle continued to slide for another 24 feet before coming to rest facing southwest. The crash caused disabling damage to the motorcycle. Tomalonis, who was wearing a full-face helmet, sustained serious injuries. He was initially transported to UPMC Lock Haven for evaluation and was later flown to Williamsport Hospital for further treatment.
Arson/Residence
BEECH CREEK BOROUGH— On July 4, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., the Beech Creek Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 18 Merryvale Lane. A State Police Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The investigation determined that the fire originated near a bookshelf in the apartment complex’s laundry room and kitchen area. The only possible cause was determined to be incendiary, indicating the fire was set intentionally and is being investigated as arson. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this fire is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville by calling 570-368-5700.
Runaway Juvenile
ALLISON TOWNSHIP— On April 15, 2025, at approximately 12:11 a.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to SR-120 (Renovo Road) for a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was found safe, according to their report.
