Keystone 8-10 All-Star Season Ends in Sectional Loss to Roosevelt Trail
MILL HALL – The Keystone 8-10 All-Stars saw their postseason run come to an end Sunday morning, falling 8-6 to Roosevelt Trail Little League in sectional play at Long Run Park.
Despite outhitting Roosevelt Trail 10-7, Keystone couldn’t overcome a late-game surge, as their opponent plated five runs in the sixth inning to pull ahead for good.
Keystone’s offense was led by Mason Wright and Greyson Cowfer, who had two hits on the day. While Easton Feerrar, Freddy Gundlach, Whitt McCloskey, and Logan Strouse each added a hit. Carter Shellman and Logan Hanley both doubled.
On the mound, McCloskey pitched five solid innings, striking out three, walking four, and allowing five hits. Cooper Robinson and Mason Wright finished the game in relief.
With the loss, Keystone is eliminated from the tournament, concluding a strong postseason that saw them reach the sectional round. Roosevelt Trail advances to play again Monday against the loser of Sunday afternoon’s contest.
