Clinton County Fair Hosts America250PA Apron Contest

The Clinton County Fair is joining fairs across the state in a unique and patriotic contest that
will help celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary!

This year’s Clinton County Fair, which runs July 26 through August 2, 2025 at the
Fairgrounds in Mackeyville, will feature an America250PA Apron Contest, and people are
invited to craft their best red, white and blue apron!

The special contest is being held by various county fairs in Pennsylvania as part of the America250PA initiative, which celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States.

To take part in the Clinton County Fair Apron Contest, participants must be a Pennsylvania resident and cannot have won first place in the PA Apron Contest at any other fair in 2025.

Participants must design and sew a bib apron, half apron, or printed apron using only red, white and blue fabric. Only one entry per person is permitted. Entries will be judged on overall appearance, creativity, workmanship/suitability and design/color.

The entry fee for the America250PA Clinton County Apron Contest is only 50 cents. The contest first-place winner will receive a $25 premium; second-place $20; and third-place $15.

The winner of the Clinton County Apron Contest also will be eligible to advance to the state- level competition at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show, where first-place prize is $250, second is $150 and third is $100.
