Keystone Majors Roll Past Montoursville 3M in District Opener, 9-1

MONTOURSVILLE– The Keystone 10-12 Majors Baseball All-Stars got their District 12 tournament run off to a strong start Sunday afternoon, defeating Montoursville 3M by a score of 9-1.

Keystone jumped ahead early with two runs in the first and broke things open with a three-run fourth and a four-run sixth. The team totaled seven hits and committed just one error, while limiting Montoursville to one hit on the day.

Giovanni Cej powered the offense with a pair of home runs and six RBIs to lead the way. Keystone also got hits from Dylan McDermott, Brooks Warner, Adam Meyer, Carter Leone, and Riley Allen.

On the mound, Adam Meyer was in command throwing a complete game. He allowed just one hit and one run while striking out eight and walking three across six innings.

With the win, Keystone advances to play on Thursday, June 27, at Loyalsock. They will face the winner of the Loyalsock vs. South Williamsport matchup.
