Keystone 10-12 Softball Tops Montoursville, 3-1, Behind Peters’ Dominant Pitching

COGAN STATION – The Keystone 10-12 Softball All-Stars picked up a key win in District 12 tournament action Sunday afternoon, defeating Montoursville 3-1.

Keystone struck early with a run in the first and added two more in the fourth to secure the win. The team collected four hits and committed one error. Montoursville managed five hits but could only push across one run in the sixth inning.

Tori Peters was dominant in the circle for Keystone, allowing five hits and one run while striking out an impressive 15 batters and walking just two.

At the plate, Peters also led the way with two hits, including a double. Gemma Braunns and Ariel Force each chipped in with a hit.

With the win, Keystone advances to play again Monday evening at East Lycoming.
