LHU’s Jason Labrador named Baseball PSAC West Pitcher of the Week

LOCK HAVEN– After throwing a game-game to lead Lock Haven to a victory over No. 12 Seton Hill, Jason Labrador was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Labrador went all seven innings on the mound and surrendered just one run on four hits and struck out three Griffins’ hitters to lead The Haven to a 5-1 victory in game two on Friday.

The senior stifled one of the top-rated offenses in the conference and all of Division II to help Lock Haven secure a sweep over Seton Hill. The Bald Eagles won game one 1-0 thanks to a combined shutout by Garrett Starr and Jace Szaflarski.

Labrador earned his second victory of the season to improve to 2-2 and currently leads the Bald Eagles’ pitching staff with a 3.71 ERA.

Lock Haven split with the nationally-ranked Griffins and enter the weekend at 12-15 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC West.

The Bald Eagles will begin a four-game Western Division series vs. Indiana (Pa.) on Friday (April 4) at Lock Haven beginning at 1 p.m. at Watkins Field.
