LHU Baseball caps weekend against No. 12 Seton Hill, split weekend series
LOCK HAVEN – After sweeping No. 12 Seton Hill on Friday, the Lock Haven baseball team fell twice on Saturday to end the weekend 2-2 against the nationally-ranked Griffins. Lock Haven fell in game one 5-2 and game two 9-1.
The two losses today lead to a split with 12th-ranked Seton Hill, and Lock Haven is now 12-15 on the year and 2-5 in the PSAC West.
Seton Hill moves to 20-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play.

Robert Furino drove in a run in the top of the first to knot the score at 1-1.
However, the Griffins scored four runs between the second and fifth innings to take a four-run lead and never looked back.
Zachary McEllroy drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh to round out the scoring.
Senior Matt Lingenfelter tossed three innings, allowed four runs on seven hits, and he struck out three.
Will Stambaugh came in for relief, pitching four innings and only allowing one run and struck out two.
Morgen Billotte and Furino added multi-hit games, while Ethan Nagy, McEllroy (RBI), and Nick White chipped in hits as well.
Game 2 Recap: Seton Hill 9 – Lock Haven 1
In game two, the Griffins scored eight runs in the late stages to pull away from the Bald Eagles.
The freshman Nagy started on the mound for The Haven, tossing four innings allowing four runs on three hits and had three strikeouts.
Evan Schmelz provided relief, throwing a scoreless inning in the seventh.
Tom Rohan, Joseph DeSiena, Furino and Nagy provided hits for The Haven offense, while Will Langdon drove in a run.

Lock Haven will open up a series this weekend (April 4 & 5) against IUP. The series will start in Lock Haven Friday at Watkins Field slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
