Central Mountain Boys Tennis Sweeps Milton in Season Opener
MILTON – The Central Mountain boys tennis team opened its season with a commanding 5-0 sweep over Milton Area on the road Monday. The Wildcats delivered a strong performance in both singles and doubles play to start the season on a high note.
In singles action, Joey McCluskey set the tone with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Hagen Hanselman. Tim Brinker battled through three sets to defeat Preston Reedy 6-2, 3-6, 6-0, while Wesly Cowart also went the distance, winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 against Luk Mowery.
In doubles, Brayen Spedding and Mitchell Borges claimed a solid 6-2, 6-4 win over Chris Hernandez and Talen Strous. Ben Brinker and Jeremiah Plummer capped off the sweep with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 victory over Owen Rager and Adam Kersteter.
The Wildcats will look to continue their momentum when they host Jersey Shore Area in their home opener on Wednesday.
