LOCK HAVEN – State police fire marshal Nick Loffredo was part of a Tuesday investigating team probing for the cause of a Monday night fire at 326 ½ N. Grove St. Firemen from Lock Haven, Flemington and Jersey Shore responded to the alarm just before 9 p.m. Property owner Dave Mayes lauded all the first responders for their quick work in containing the blaze. He said it started in an interior bedroom on the first floor and spread to a second floor apartment. The first floor occupants escaped safely but authorities said two second floor residents sustained unspecified leg injuries when they jumped from a back porch before firemen had been able to arrive. There was no immediate damage estimate. Mayes said the more than century old brick structure was covered by insurance.
