Pentz and Wagner earn Mid Penn Conference All-star honors

FARWELL- Bucktail senior Brody Pentz and junior Kendall Wagner both received Mid Penn Conference honors for their efforts during the 2024-25 season.

Pentz was named to the first team for boys after helping Bucktail earn a top 4 seed and a home playoff quarterfinal game.

Pentz joined South Williamsport’s Radley Knapp, Northwest’s Ryan Miner, Stiles Eyer of Muncy and Montgomery’s Parker Bennett.

Second team all-stars included Tucker Crawford of Northwest, Hayden Wilt of Montgomery, Sullivan County’s Tucker Blasi and Lucas King, South’s Levi Butler and Muncy’s Dominic Guardini.

Northwest’s Josh Miner was named MVP, while teammate Brady Shea was named defensive player of the year. Sean Miller of Northwest was named boys coach of the year.

Wagner had a strong junior campaign that seen her reach 500 rebounds and collect multiple double-doubles throughout the season, which earned her a second team honor.

First team all-stars were Abby Akers of South, Northwests Aslyn Hermanofsky, Muncy’s Addison Eyer and Ava Eyer, Benton’s Malaia Hart and St. John Neumann’s Niyah Tutler.

Joining Wagner on the second team was Jordin Bowman of Northwest, Julia Hippenstiel of Millville, South’s Ella Moore and Rosie Zalonis of Muncy.

Larissa Evans of Millville was named MVP. Northwest’s Ava Ruckle was named defensive player of the year. Northwest head coach Jaxon Yaple completed the sweep for the Lady Rangers by being named coach of the year.
