Cruelty to Animals
NOYES TOWNSHIP— On February 20, 2025, Robert Wallish, 54 of Hummelstown was formally charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Tampering with Evidence, and Abuse of a Corpse. The following day, he was taken into custody and appeared for arraignment at Magisterial District Court 25-3-02. These charges relate to an incident stemming from December 16, 2024, when PSP Lamar was called to 24 Clendenon Street to investigate a complaint of animal cruelty.
According to the complainant, Andrew Gavlock, 33, of Westport, he had let his 11-year-old yellow Labrador retriever out at approximately 5:30 a.m. that day, but the dog never returned. Gavlock’s search led him to a neighboring property, where he discovered blood, dog hair, and other biological material consistent with his missing dog. Subsequent investigations involved the execution of several search warrants at this location and in Dauphin County.
On December 17, 2024, the dog’s body was located approximately 150 miles from where it was killed, with a gunshot wound on its neck. The investigation continued, and evidence obtained through the search warrants was sent to the East Stroudsburg University lab for analysis. DNA tests revealed that the biological material found on Wallish’s property matched the DNA of Gavlock’s deceased dog, leading to Wallish’s charges.
Theft/Disposition of Funds
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On February 20, 2025, at approximately 4:37 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to Nittany Valley Drive for a report of an unauthorized transaction from the bank account of a 62-year-old man from Mill Hall. The actor(s) stole $275 from the victim’s bank account, and the investigation into this matter is ongoing.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On February 20, 2025, PSP Lamar troopers were dispatched to Walmart in Mill Hall for a reported retail theft. Upon the trooper’s arrival, it was discovered that Belinda Crust, 46, of Beech Creek, committed retail theft by not scanning $31.69 worth of baby clothing.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On February 21, 2025, a crash occurred on I-80 West at mile marker 180.6. Stuart Grossman, 71, from Flushing, NY, was traveling in the right lane when, for an unknown reason, he left the south side of the roadway and struck a roadside embankment, causing his vehicle to overturn. The vehicle came to a final stop partially on the roadway facing west. Both occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries of unknown severity, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On February 20, 2025, a one-vehicle crash occurred as Susana Callender, 48, from Port Washington, NY, was traveling on I-80 West near mile marker 185.6. Callender lost traction on the road surface due to winter conditions and slid into a ditch off the right side of the road before overturning and coming to a final stop in a ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. All three occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and reported minor injuries.
Rape/Forcible/Opposite Sex
LOCK HAVEN CITY— PSP Lamar is conducting an investigation stemming from an anonymous sexual assault kit that was collected by UPMC Lock Haven on February 18, 2025. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
Harassment w/Physical Contact
CRAWFORD TOWNSHIP— On February 18, 2025, at 9:48 p.m., PSP Lamar troopers were dispatched to Rauchtown Road for a “domestic no longer in progress.” On the scene, the 33-year-old male victim of Jersey Shore alleged that Autumn Geyer, 30, from Jersey Shore, struck him on the head several times with her hand during an argument. Geyer was cited for Harassment as a result of the incident.

BEECK CREEK TOWNSHIP— On February 17, 2025, PSP Lamar troopers were dispatched to 1683 Eagle Valley Road for a domestic dispute. Upon the trooper’s arrival, it was discovered that a physical altercation had occurred between a 31-year-old female and a 37-year-old male, both of Beech Creek, and charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.

GREENE TOWNSHIP– On February 16, 2025, a crash occurred as Carl Miller, 28, from Monroe City, MO, was traveling on I-80 East in the left lane and negotiating a right-hand turn while following another vehicle. Due to icy road conditions, Miller’s vehicle failed to negotiate the turn and veered off the road. The vehicle then overturned onto its driver’s side, causing the trailing unit to detach and resulting in disabling damage to the tractor portion.
Disorderly Conduct
LOCK HAVEN CITY— PSP Lamar is investigating an incident involving Disorderly Conduct that occurred in the area of Bellefonte Avenue and N. Hampton Street on February 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. A non-traffic citation was issued to Jennifer Rupert, 52, of Lock Haven, and filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-01 as a result of the incident.
Motor Vehicle Accident/Commercial
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On February 16, 2025, at around 2:36 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on Nittany Valley Drive near Dotterer’s Road. Jakub Swider, 37, from Trevor, WI, was driving a tractor-trailer and entered Nittany Valley Drive from a parking lot entrance without ensuring safe clearance. At the same time, a Nissan Rogue traveling east at about 30 mph was unable to stop in time, resulting in a crash. Both vehicles were disabled, and the driver of the Nissan Rogue sustained minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The investigation led to traffic citations being filed at Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Drug Possession
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On February 13, 2025, at 12:02 p.m., a student at Central Mountain High School was found to be in possession of a marijuana vape pen. School resource officers confiscated the contraband and notified PSP Lamar. The juvenile student was processed for applicable charges at the Lamar barracks and released to their parents. Charges will proceed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Found Property
FLEMINGTON BOROUGH— On February 13, 2025, an Apple AirTag was found at 757 Sturdevant Street. Anyone with information about ownership of the Air Tag is asked to come to the PSP Lamar Barracks.
Drug Possession
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On February 13, 2025, PSP Lamar responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle beside Ruby Tuesday’s, 281 Hogan Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle, Jeremy Slaterbeck, 45, from Loganton, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was subsequently charged and taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Criminal Mischief
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On February 12, 2025, at 10:48 a.m., a 44-year-old female victim of Lock Haven came to the PSP Lamar Barracks to report an incident involving damage to her vehicle that occurred in the parking lot of Walmart in Mill Hall on February 11. After the initial report was made, the victim decided not to cooperate with the investigation or prosecution, according to PSP Lamar.
Theft
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On January 28, 2025, at 1:44 p.m., a 71-year-old woman from Mill Hall came to the PSP Lamar barracks to report the theft of Apple products valued at $61,037.81. This incident is currently under investigation.
Harassment
LOGAN TOWNSHIP— On January 19, 2025, PSP Lamar received a report of harassment at 94 Snook Lane involving an 18-year-old male from Lock Haven. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Fire
BEECH CREEK TOWNSHIP— On January 12, 2025, at approximately 11:18 p.m., the Beech Creek Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 387 Berry Road in Beech Creek. Upon arrival at the scene, fire personnel encountered a fully engulfed structure. A PA State Police Fire Marshal was requested to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The origin and cause remain undetermined however, the investigation continues.

PORTER TOWNSHIP— On January 11, 2025, at approximately 7:05 a.m., a one-vehicle crash occurred on I-80 West at mile marker 174.1 when Michael Tyler, 63, from Center Valley, PA, fell asleep and left the roadway. Tyler struck a guide rail after leaving the roadway but was not injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Accident
GREENE TOWNSHIP—On January 5, 2025, at 6:42 p.m., a collision occurred on I-80 West involving 22-year-old Mohamed Asafari from Saint Albans, NY. While driving in the left lane, Asafari hit a deer that had entered the left lane from the nearby wooded area. After the impact, Asafari continued approximately 0.1 miles before coming to a final stop in the left lane. No injuries were reported from the crash.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On January 1, 2025, a one-vehicle crash occurred on I-80 East at mile marker 185.8. John Albert, 75, from Haverford, PA, had been traveling east and heading home when he lost control of the Toyota Highlander he was driving. Albert struck a guide rail on the north side of the road and spun back onto the shoulder. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported.

BEECH CREEK TOWNSHIP— On December 15, 2024, at 6:20 p.m., a crash occurred involving Artic Kitchen, 23, from Bellefonte. Kitchen was driving a 2023 Nissan and attempted to pass another vehicle. While merging back into the right lane, he lost control, causing the car to enter an uncontrolled skid. The vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and veered off the road to the west before crashing into a barn. The front of the car sustained disabling damage from the impact. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Theft/Bad Checks
LOGANTON BOROUGH— Between October 1 and October 31, 2024, PSP Lamar investigated a theft that occurred on E. South Street. A 54-year-old woman from Lancaster used a bank check to pay for $129.89 worth of groceries at Scenic Ridge Foods in Loganton, and the account had insufficient funds to cover the check. Multiple attempts were made to contact the account holder to rectify the issue with negative results. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02 for theft.
