Lady Phoenix See Season Come To An End At Districts.

WILLIAMSPORT – The Lady Phoenix of the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School saw their 2024-25 season come to a close at the District 4 Girls Championships, as they were unable to qualify anyone for the PIAA Central Regional Tournament.
Sophomore Kohana Yamshita was the only Lady Phoenix to garner a place finish, as she took a sixth place finish at 106 pounds and finished her season with a 12-12 record. Yamashitz made it to the fifth place match, where she was pinned by Hughesville Lady Spartan Isabella Olshefskie.
Sophomores Evie Andrus (14-12) and Marrin Clester (9-10), along with freshman Aaliyah Hopkins (6-13) will return next season for the Lady Phoenix, while seniors Olivia Clester (5-11) and Olivia Johnson (17-13) saw their Lady Phoenix careers come to a close.
Hughesville won the team title with 180 points, followed close behind by Athens with 1878.5 points. Montgomery took third place with 167.5 points, while Shikellamy was fourth with 138 points and Selinsgrove rounded out the top five with 124 points. The Lady Phoenix finished in 18th place of the 23 team field with 23 points.
