Matti Mason Shines on Senior Night as Bucktail Defeats Curwensville

FARWELL – The Bucktail Lady Bucks made the most of Senior Night, rolling past Curwensville 55-34 in front of their home crowd. Before the game, Bucktail honored Curwensville’s seniors before shifting the focus to their own, with senior Matti Mason receiving recognition for her contributions on and off the court.

Mason, who has been active in the community coaching a Renovo youth team and participating in multiple sports. She filled the stat sheet with 11 points, six rebounds, two steals, and six assists.

Kendall Wagner had a dominant night, leading all scorers with 32 points while pulling down 11 rebounds. Eva Sockman added six points and was a force on the boards with 17 rebounds. Miyah Devlin (4 points) and Arionna Winkleman (2 points) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bucks.

Bucktail established control early, racing out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. Curwensville kept pace in the second, but Bucktail’s defense limited them in the second half, holding the visitors to just seven points in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Bucks won’t have much time to celebrate, as they return to the court tomorrow to host a strong Muncy team.
