Central Mountain Falls to Shikellamy, Eyes Senior Night Bounce Back
MILL HALL – The Central Mountain girls basketball team suffered its second consecutive home loss Wednesday night, falling to Shikellamy 59-32. Offensive struggles once again plagued the Lady Wildcats, who had difficulty finding rhythm against the visiting Braves.
Lena Walker provided a bright spot for Central Mountain, leading the team with 20 points. Taylor Doyle added eight, while Elise McKean and Camdyn Weaver each contributed two. However, the Lady Wildcats were unable to keep pace with Shikellamy’s offense, which was powered by a dominant 30-point performance from Lily Fatool.
With the loss, Central Mountain drops to 8-9 on the season. The Lady Wildcats will look to turn things around and snap their offensive slump on Friday night when they host DuBois Catholic for Senior Night. The JV game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., with varsity tipping off at 6 p.m.
