Tragic Case of Animal Cruelty: Yellow Labrador Shot and Killed, Investigation Continues
NOYES TOWNSHIP— On December 16, 2024, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Troopers from PSP Lamar responded to a report of animal cruelty on Clendenen Street. The complainant stated that he let his 11-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever out at about 5:30 a.m. that day, and the dog did not return.
A search for the dog led the complainant to a neighboring property, where he discovered blood, dog hair, and other biological matter belonging to his missing dog on the property. Several search warrants were executed at that site and in Dauphin County, PA.
On December 17, the dog was found dead from a gunshot wound to its neck, approximately 150 miles from where it was killed. A suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information about this case is asked to contact Trooper Christopher Moore at the PA State Police Lamar Barracks by calling 570-726-6000.
