Phoenix Fall 38-25 to Juniata

MIFFLINTOWN-Down 26-9 halfway through the dual meet, the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School tried to rally back, but the Indians of Juniata were just too much to overcome and the Phoenix fell by a 38-25 score, dropping them to 3-4 on the season.
Logan Leland (172) recorded a fall for the Phoenix, while Jarren McCloskey (139) won by a major decision and Dakotz Jodun added a regular decision win. The Phoenix’s Hunter Berry (114) and Tobias Conoway both received forfeit wins.
The Phoenix of head coach Jason Bilbay will host Sullivan County on Wednesday night (December 18) and then will be off until Saturday, January 4th, when they will travel to South Williamsport to be part of their 15-team Duals Tournament.
The 15-teams participating are Elk Lake, Loyalsock, Mid-Valley, Montrose, Mountain View, Northeast Bradford, Pleasant Valley, Salisbury Township, Sayre, Scranton Prep, South Williamsport, Valley View, Wellsboro, Williamson and the Phoenix.
