LHU Men’s Wrestling competes at Journeymen Collegiate Classic
BETHLEHEM – The Lock Haven men’s wrestling team returned to action today (Sunday, Nov. 10) at the 2024 Journeymen Collegiate Classic, held at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Lock Haven was one of 20-plus teams that competed today in the pool round-robin style tournament, which has become an annual tradition for the Bald Eagles.
Leading the way was Sean Logue, Connor Eck, Tyler Stoltzfus and Colin Fegley as each Bald Eagle was undefeated on the day in their respective bracket/pool.
Logue 3-0 with two pins in the 125-E bracket.
Eck competed unattached today and he was a perfect 3-0 in the 157-C bracket.
Stoltzfus put on a clinic in the 174-C bracket as he finished the day a perfect 3-0 with all three wins coming by pin.
Fegley was 3-0 with two majors at 184-C. He opened the day with an upset-win, as he majored No. 29 Nathan Haas of California Baptist.
Hunter Gould (133-F) was 2-1 today with a tech fall in his first bout of the tournament. Kelly Kakos (157-G) finished the day 2-1 with a tech.
Three Bald Eagles found themselves nationally ranked this week including returning All-American Anthony Noto, along with returning national qualifiers Wyatt Henson and Nick Stampoulos. All three impressed in Lock Haven’s 2024-25 season opener at the Princeton Open last weekend (Nov. 3). Earlier this week, Henson took home the first Mid-American Conference (MAC) Wrestler of the Week award of the season.
