Keohane and Winner Show Strong Finishes for Central Mountain at State Cross Country Championships
HERSHEY-Central Mountain’s cross-country standouts Grace Keohane and Damien Winner took to the challenging Parkview Cross Country Course in Hershey for the PIAA State Meet on Saturday, making strong showings among Pennsylvania’s elite runners.
Junior Grace Keohane clocked an impressive 20:39, earning her 102nd place overall. Grace’s performance showed significant growth from last year, shaving 36 seconds off her previous time and climbing 38 spots in the standings. Her improvement highlighted her hard work throughout the season and set a high standard as she looks forward to next year.
In the boys’ race, Damien Winner battled a competitive field to finish in 17:37, placing 145th out of 249 runners. Damien’s time represented a 13-second improvement from his last run on the Hershey course in September, underscoring his consistent development this season.
