Renovo Police Department News Release

Motor Vehicle Crash
On October 23, 2024, at 4:09 p.m., the Renovo Police Department investigated a vehicle crash. A 2021 Ford F150 was headed westbound on the Renovo Road/SR-120 near Stouts Hill Avenue. The driver, 33-year-old T.T. Nicole Kinney of North Bend, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to leave the north side of the road and strike a rock wall head-on. Kinney suffered a suspected serious injury and was flown by Geisinger Lifeflight helicopter to UPMC-Williamsport Hospital. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene by Martin Motor Co. Renovo Police were assisted on the scene by the Renovo Fire Department and EMS, as well as Bucktail Hospital EMS. The investigation and resolution pertaining to the accident are continuing.

PA State Police Lamar Barracks Release

Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP—PSP Lamar received a report of retail theft at Mill Hall Walmart committed by a 22-year-old male from Philadelphia on October 16, 2024. The actor allegedly stole a pack of New York strip steaks valued at $21.51 and an eight-inch frying pan valued at $9.97. Charges are pending.

Traffic Violation
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On August 16, 2024, PSP Lamar conducted a traffic stop on Nittany Valley Drive near Browns Hill Road on a 2011 Jeep driven by an unnamed 26-year-old male from Howard for traffic violations. Through investigation it was determined that the driver was required to utilize an ignition interlock in order to operate a vehicle. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Criminal Mischief
FLEMINGTON— PSP Lamar Troopers responded to Birch Street in Flemington Borough for a report of criminal mischief that occurred between August 13 and August 16, 2024, according to the report. The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On August 15, 2024, PSP Lamar Troopers were dispatched to an incident involving a racial slur that was yelled from a vehicle. On scene, it was reported that while a student was leaving the school, a maroon mid-sized SUV with a silver luggage rack was driving on Keystone Central Drive towards Plunket Run Road when an unknown actor yelled a racial slur from the passenger seat of the vehicle. The actor is described as a heavier-set white, non-Hispanic male with a full brown beard and a hat. Anyone with information regarding the actor’s identity is asked to contact PSP Lamar by calling 570-726-6000 and reference incident PA24-1055111.

Motor Vehicle Accident
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On August 14, 2024, at 4:15 p.m., a crash occurred when Richard Pelton Jr., 35, from Lamar, was traveling north on Nittany Valley Drive. Albert Crossley IV, 28, from Jersey Shore, was stopped in the northbound lane, waiting on a vehicle in front of him to complete a left turn. According to the report, Pelton was traveling at approximately 40 mph and did not see Crossley stopped in the roadway, as he was using his cell phone at the time. Consequently, Pelton rear-ended Crossley. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Motor Vehicle Accident/Commercial Vehicle
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On August 13, 2024, at approximately 3:42 p.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred on I-80 East at mile marker 188.0. Jose Garcia, 46, from Anna, TX, was driving a 1999 Freightliner FLD120 when the drive shaft broke off and fell into the right lane of I-80. Janeyda Ortiz, 19, from Bethlehem, PA, was traveling behind Garcia and was unable to avoid running over the drive shaft, causing disabling damage to her vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

Simple Trespassing
PORTER TOWNSHIP— PSP Lamar was notified of an alleged trespassing incident on Allis Chalmers Lane on August 13, 2024. This investigation is ongoing.

Endangering Welfare of a Child
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On August 6, 2024, PSP Lamar received a Child Welfare report for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The report advised that a 1-year-old child had a burn on their arm and that the suspect may have done it intentionally. This investigation is ongoing.

Indecent Exposure
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On July 24, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., PSP Lamar received two Child Welfare reports regarding a male exposing himself to two females, both aged 7, near Boyd Lane. According to the report, all individuals involved were children.
