Pentz goes over 1,000 yards rushing in back-to-back seasons in road loss

Almedia-Bucktail’s 2024 football team entered their season finale at Columbia Montour Vo-Tech looking for their first victory of the season. The Bucks were also looking to get senior quarterback Brody Pentz his second 1,000 yard rushing season.
CMVT’s 2,000-yard rusher Braxtyn Brown made sure that the Bucks remained winless with a strong first quarter, which included a 43-yard score as the game’s opening quarter drew to a close.
The Rams held a 20-0 lead on Bucktail after one quarter and the Bucks would put together a strong second quarter drive that would fizzle at the two yard line on an interception turnover.
Bucktail would hold the Rams scoreless in the second quarter and trail20-0 at the half.
Brown would strike again late in the third quarter on another long run to put the game into the mercy rule at 36-0.
Pentz would get Bucktail on the board with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter to set the final at 36-6, in favor of CMVT.
Pentz ended his career with over 3,000 yards on the ground, including 1,099 this season. He finished his final high school game by running for 196 yards. He is the first player in program history to accumulate two 1,000-yard seasons in back-to-back years.
Bucktail’s season ended with an 0-8 mark. The Rams finished the season with a 6-4 mark, qualified for the District IV 4A playoffs but opted out of the postseason.
