DUI
LOCK HAVEN– On October 6, 2024, at approximately 1:19 a.m., PSP Lamar Troopers observed a man asleep in a truck on N. Vesper Street. According to the incident report, the truck’s ignition was on, and the man was in the driver’s seat. Upon waking him, troopers found that the 21-year-old from Lock Haven was under the influence of alcohol. He agreed to undergo chemical testing, and criminal charges are pending based on the results of the toxicology report.
Motor Vehicle Accident
PORTER TOWNSHIP– On October 6, 2024, at 6:56 p.m., a collision involving two vehicles occurred on I-80 West near mile marker 173.5. Azare Mercer, 25, M, from Erie, PA, was driving behind Giorgi Marsagishvili, 53, M, from Bala Cynwyd, PA, in the right lane at a significantly higher speed. Marsagishvili was traveling well below the posted speed limit and did not have his hazard lights on. As a result, Mercer rear-ended Marsagishvili’s vehicle, causing significant damage to both vehicles. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, and no injuries were reported.
Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On October 5, 2024, at 7:48 p.m., a 69-year-old male customer at Walmart in Mill Hall forgot to retrieve his $80 cash which was dispensed at a self-checkout register via the “cash back” option. The investigation continues, and video security footage is under review to locate the actor who stole the money. DUI
LAMAR TOWNSHIP– On October 5, 2024, at approximately 2:06 a.m., PSP Lamar encountered a vehicle with a flat tire along I-80 West near mile marker 182. While assisting the driver, a 21-year-old male from Lancaster, with the flat tire, it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. The driver consented to chemical testing, and criminal charges are pending the toxicology results.
DUI
LOCK HAVEN– On October 4, 2024, at approximately 12:49 a.m., PSP Lamar conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Bellefonte Avenue near Commerce Street. The vehicle was stopped because it was being driven without headlights. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, a 30-year-old man from Tolleson, AZ, was under the influence of alcohol. Chemical testing was consented, and criminal charges are pending toxicology results.
DUI
CASTANEA– PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on a 2021 Kia Sportage for multiple traffic violations on SR-220 on October 4, 2024, at approximately 11:28 p.m. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, a 64-year-old female from Lock Haven, was under the influence of alcohol. The woman consented to chemical testing; criminal charges are pending toxicology results.
Hit and Run
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP– On October 4, 2024, a crash occurred on SR-220 North near mile marker 120.4 when an unnamed/unidentified driver veered off the left side of the roadway and struck the cable barrier in the median with the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked and then abandoned on the left side of the roadway. No further information was included in the report of this accident.
Death/Natural
CASTANEA TOWNSHIP– PSP Lamar responded to 200 E. Keller Street on October 1, 2024, for a report of a deceased male. According to the report, the death was found to be of natural causes. No further information was provided in the report.
Theft By Deception
FLEMINGTON—A PSP Trooper was dispatched to Linden Street on September 30, 2024, for a report of theft. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 76-year-old female from Lock Haven, became romantically involved with an unknown person(s) and gifted them $7,000 worth of Apple gift cards with a promise that she would be reimbursed. She has not received any reimbursement, and this incident remains under investigation.
Possession – Drug Paraphernalia/Equipment
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On September 30, 2024, at 2:01 p.m., a PSP Trooper was dispatched to Central Mountain High School, 64 Keystone Central Drive in Mill Hall, for a report of found drugs. School resource officers located a THC vape pen in a student’s vehicle, which was parked on school property. The paraphernalia was turned over to the Trooper, and a juvenile petition is being filed.
Residential Burglary
SOUTH RENOVO– PSP Lamar received a report of a burglary that occurred sometime between August 25 and September 29, 2024, on Susquehanna Avenue. The residence was uninhabited and undergoing renovations. The homeowner did not have a complete list of stolen items when the police report was generated, but the residence did not have many expensive items inside because it had been uninhabited. This investigation is still underway.
Terroristic Threats
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On September 26, 2024, at 3:15 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to Central Mountain High School, 64 Keystone Central Drive in Mill Hall, for a report of an incident involving terrorist threats. The investigation concluded that a 17-year-old student had made comments that rose to the level of terroristic threats. Consequently, charges were filed for Terroristic Threats, Disorderly Conduct, and Harassment through the Clinton County Juvenile Probation office.
