Central Mountain Girls XC Closes Regular Season with Strong Performance, Eyes PHAC and District Championships
WILLIAMSPORT-The Central Mountain girls cross country team wrapped up their regular season in impressive fashion, securing three more victories in a quad meet. The Wildcats defeated Selinsgrove (25-32), Shikellamy (26-29), and Jersey Shore (15-46) but fell to host Williamsport (32-24).
The Wildcats’ final regular-season record stands at 15-4, a significant improvement from last year’s 10-10 finish. The team is now focused on the postseason, with the PHAC Championships scheduled for this Saturday at Shikellamy, followed by the District 6 Championships on October 26.
Leading the way for Central Mountain was Grace Keohane, who finished with a time of 21:09. Other strong performances included Gabbriella Hosley (22:49), Aubrey Eiler (23:17), and Calienna Cardinal (24:02). Emma Wolfe (24:34), Abrianna Hosley (25:53), and Liz McCloskey (25:55) also contributed key finishes.
Rounding out the Wildcats’ efforts were Adrian Samaniego (28:39), Kennedy Metzger (31:31), Sage Rippey (31:48), and Macia Owens (37:44).
With the regular season complete, Central Mountain will look to carry their momentum into the postseason, starting with the PHAC Championships this weekend.
