Unkel Joe’s Woodshed to Close Lock Haven Store
By Christopher Miller
FLEMINGTON – After 68 years of calling the “building at the top of the hill” home in Flemington, Unkel Joe’s Woodshed will be closing its Lock Haven flagship location.
Well known locally and beyond for its home decor, house wares, hunting and fishing supplies, and seasonal departments, Unkel Joe’s opened their doors in Lock Haven in 1956 and a location in Altoona two years later.
Founded by “Unkel” Joe Anderson and “Unkel” Bob Baker, the original store started with a “fire sale,” and later grew to be the local retail location we see today.
The official release, announced on social media, is below. A store-wide 25% off sale is currently taking place.
