LHU Women’s Cross Country hosts home Invitational
LOCK HAVEN– The regionally-ranked Lock Haven women’s cross country team hosted the Lock Haven Invitational today (Sept. 28) on Homecoming Saturday, and in traditional fashion the meet drew a large and talented field of runners at the annual event.
The Haven women finished 16th of 29 teams in the Crimson 6K Race. Aubrey Sechrist led Lock Haven with a time of 22:51.2 as she finished 43rd of 238 finishers.
Kaydence Strange ran 23:16.7 and placed 67th overall. Nicole Carroll, Krista Jones and Jenna Smith rounded out the Bald Eagles’ top-five finishers today on the home course. Carroll ran 23:50.4 (105th), Jones ran 24:16.1 (121st) and Smith ran 24:37.2 (140th).
In the Women’s White 6K Race, Lock Haven placed 10th of 15 teams. Leading the way was Sophie Dillon who finished 30th out of 141 finishers in 25:48.9. Addison Farrer was 33rd in 25:51.5 and Kierston Lloyd was 56th with a time of 26:43.2
