ALTOONA-The Central Mountain High School girls tennis team had a whirlwind two days filled with District 6 tournament play and a tough rescheduled match against Altoona.

On Tuesday, the team traveled to Altoona for the District 6 Singles Championship, where two Wildcats, Ellie Harry and Addison Lindsay, represented Central Mountain. Ellie faced a tough first-round match, falling to Kayla Bloch of Williamsport 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile, Addison, who entered the tournament as the top seed, had a strong performance. After a first-round bye, she dominated the quarterfinals, defeating Sabrina Doebler from Shikellamy 6-0, 6-0. In the semifinals, she continued her impressive form with another 6-0, 6-0 victory over Grace Muriceak of Hollidaysburg.

The finals took place on Wednesday, where Addison faced Crosby Denis of Hollidaysburg. She captured the District 6 title with a 6-2, 6-0 victory, securing her spot in the PIAA State Tournament, set to be held in Hershey on November 1st and 2nd.
