Police Blotter September 25, 2024:

Motor Vehicle Accident
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP– On September 24, 2024, a crash occurred as Amy Yeater, 25, of Hughesville, was traveling south on Derr Hill Road. While attempting to negotiate a left turn, Yeater traveled off the west side of the roadway and then continued along the embankment before impacting a culvert and coming to a final stop facing south. Yeater was wearing a seat belt and sustained suspected minor injuries from the crash.

DUI
LOCK HAVEN– On September 22, 2024, PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on E. Water Street after witnessing multiple traffic violations. Upon investigation, it was determined that the unnamed 36-year-old male driver from Lock Haven was under the influence of alcohol. Chemical testing was consented to, and criminal charges are pending toxicology.

DUI
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On September 22, 2024, at approximately 2:38 a.m., PSP Lamar observed a vehicle pulled over along Mill Hall Road with the headlights off and hazard lights activated. Contact was made with the unnamed 22-year-old female driver from Avis, and signs of impairment were observed. Chemical testing was consented to, and criminal charges are pending toxicology.

DUI
LAMAR TOWNSHIP– On September 21, 2024, at approximately 12:13 a.m., a 53-year-old female of Lock Haven traveled to the PSP Lamar barracks while under the influence of alcohol. Troopers reported that they observed signs of impairment, and chemical testing was consented to. Criminal charges are pending toxicology.

Assault w/Bodily Injury to Teacher
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On September 19, 2024, at 9:02 a.m., a male juvenile student assaulted four staff members at Central Mountain High School. Charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

False Report/Statement to Law Enforcement
SOUTH RENOVO– On September 19, 2024, PSP Lamar troopers responded to First Street at Spruce Alley for a report of a driver intentionally attempting to run over a pedestrian. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the complainant was making a false report to law enforcement. Charges will be filed through District Court 25-3-03.

Motor Vehicle Accident
PORTER TOWNSHIP– On September 13, 2024, Rodrigo Saavedra-Vasquez was traveling east on I-80 near mile marker 172.6 when his vehicle veered off the right side of the road, striking a road sign. The vehicle continued through the grass median for approximately 80 yards before colliding with a tree and coming to an uncontrolled stop. Both Saavedra-Vasquez and a passenger were transported to UPMC Williamsport with suspected serious injuries. This crash is still under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Accident
CASTANEA– On July 24, 2024, PSP investigated a single-vehicle crash that occurred in the northbound lanes of US-220. Connor Bauman, 26, of Flemington, was traveling in the left lane when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle’s rear struck the bridge of the overpass of Youngdale Road and crossed both travel lanes before striking the bridge again. The vehicle came to a final rest in the right-hand lane. Bauman reported no injuries and was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

DUI
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– PSP Lamar arrested Kae Weber, 63, of Mill Hall, for DUI in the 300 block of Lusk Run Road on July 7, 2024. No further information was included in their report.

Robbery/Purse Snatch w/Force
SOUTH RENOVO– On July 6, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., a kidnapping/robbery incident occurred in the area of Pine Street and 2nd Street. The actors, identified as Ryan Bailey, 36, of Reading, Nathaniel Strouse, 21, of Montandon, and Anthony Clay-Rappaselli, 30, of Reading, allegedly stole $200 from a 29-year-old male Renovo victim. Arrest warrants were obtained, and the investigation continues.

PFA Violation
LAMAR TOWNSHIP– On July 6, 2024, at approximately 9:16 p.m., a possible PFA violation was reported involving an unnamed male who walked onto the property of a protected female party. This investigation is ongoing.

Motor Vehicle Accident
CHAPMAN TOWNSHIP– On July 6, 2024, a two-vehicle collision occurred involving a DCNR pickup truck owned by the Commonwealth of PA. The driver of the DCNR truck parked the vehicle and walked away. Shortly afterward, the truck drifted backward a short distance and struck another unoccupied parked vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, and the cause of the incident is suspected to be a faulty parking gear on the DCNR truck.

Firearm Sale or Transfer
LOGANTON– On April 6, 2024, a person who is prohibited from purchasing a firearm attempted to do so at Jordan Firearms, 280 S. Mill Street in Loganton. This investigation continues.
