Sections of I-80 Closed in Clinton County

penndot-alertCLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation advises drivers that sections of Interstate 80 in Clinton County and Northumberland County are closed at this hour.

I-80 Westbound is closed between the Milton/212B interchange in Northumberland County and the Lock Haven/178 interchange in Clinton County, due to a number of vehicle crashes. Westbound drivers are to follow the Red detour.

I-80 Eastbound is closed between the Lock Haven/178 interchange in Clinton County to the Milton/212B interchange in Northumberland County due to a number of vehicle crashes. Eastbound drivers are to follow the Blue detour.

PennDOT advises drivers to be prepared for stopped or slowed traffic, along with lengthy travel delays. PennDOT expects these closures to be in place until later this afternoon.

Message boards are alerting drivers to the closures. I-80 motorists can also access up-to-date closure and detour information on the Highway Advisory Radio System (HARS) at 1640 on the AM dial.
