Central Mountain Girls Tennis Defeats Williamsport 3-2 in Home Match

MILL HALL– The Central Mountain girls tennis team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Williamsport in an exciting match at home on Thursday.

In singles play, Central Mountain’s top player, Addison Lindsay, dominated her opponent Kayla Bloch, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Teammate Ellie Harry also showcased her skills, defeating Williamsport’s Gabby McQuillen 6-2, 6-3. However, Williamsport’s Audrey Dincher managed to pull one back for her team, overcoming Archie Walker of Central Mountain with a 6-4, 6-1 victory.

The doubles matches proved just as intense. In the first doubles match, the Williamsport duo of Eden Huff and Peyton Kelley got the better of Central Mountain’s Molly Dubbs and Emily Brinker, winning 6-2, 6-1. Central Mountain sealed the overall team victory in the second doubles match, as Kassie Williams and Leah Wian defeated Williamsport’s Maddy Lundy and Shyla Montoya 6-2, 6-3.

With the win, Central Mountain improves its record and continues to build momentum as they progress through the season. The Lady Wildcats will look to carry this energy into their next match on Monday in a quad meet.
