Strangulation
CRAWFORD TOWNSHIP— On September 3, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., PSP Lamar responded to 150 Heck Road for a reported physical dispute. The accused, Aaron Heck, 31, from Jersey Shore, was arrested for strangulation, simple assault, and harassment involving a minor female and was transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility as a result of the incident.
Burglary
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP—PSP Lamar Troopers are investigating a burglary that occurred on Woodward Avenue between August 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and August 27, 2024, at 6:00 a.m. According to the report, the unknown actor(s) stole $2,700.00 cash. This investigation is ongoing.
Hit and Run
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On August 27, 2024, at 3:27 p.m., a crash occurred on I-80 East near mile marker 181.0. The crash occurred as Michael Linderman, 57, from Ramsey, NJ, and an unidentified driver were both traveling on a three-lane portion of the interstate. Linderman merged into the center lane as the other driver began to pass him in the far left lane. The unidentified driver then lost control and entered the center lane, striking the Crysler Town & Country Minivan driven by Linderman. The unidentified driver fled the scene, failing to stop and exchange information as required by law.
Motor Vehicle Accident
GRUGAN TOWNSHIP— On August 27, 2024, at 7:31 p.m., Thomas Krassman, 62, from Mill Hall, was traveling East on SR-120 (Renovo Road) at 50 mph in the area of 4913 Renovo Road. A collision occurred when a deer entered the roadway and Krassman was unable to avoid striking it. Krassman’s vehicle continued to travel east for approximately 15 yards after striking the deer and came to a controlled stop after backing off the shoulder of SR-120 on a gravel driveway. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage, causing an antifreeze leak due to the damaged radiator. No injuries resulted from the accident; Krassman and his passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Criminal Mischief
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On August 26, 2024, at 9:00 p.m., mailboxes were vandalized in the area of East Winter Road by an unknown actor(s). Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Trooper Colton Killion at the PSP Lamar Barracks by calling 570-726-6000.
False Report/False Statement to Law Enforcement
LOGANTON— On August 26, 2024, PSP Lamar Troopers responded to East Main Street for a report of harassment involving a male minor victim. No further information was included in the report, and the investigation is ongoing.
Disorderly Conduct
MILL HALL— A PSP Lamar Trooper was dispatched to Kyler Avenue for a report of disorderly conduct on August 22, 2024. It was alleged that two males were engaged in a verbal disagreement. According to the report, the incident was closed, and no criminal action was taken.
DUI
BEECH CREEK— On August 15, 2024, at 11:18 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a white Chevrolet Silverado on Masden Hollow Road. The driver, Mitchell Nihart, 41, from Beech Creek, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Appropriate charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.
