Weaver’s Appeal Denied by Supreme Court

HARRISBURG, PA— On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied the petition for allowance of appeal filed by a man convicted of sexually assaulting a Lock Haven University student in the City of Lock Haven in 2019.  

Nathan William Weaver, 37, formerly from Paxinos, PA, was convicted in October 2021 after a two-day trial by a Clinton County jury. He was found guilty of Sexual Assault, classified as a second-degree felony, Aggravated Indecent Assault, also a second-degree felony, and Indecent Assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. In 2022, Clinton County Judge Michael Salisbury sentenced Weaver to a maximum of 21 years in a state correctional facility, where he is currently serving his sentence.

District Attorney Dave Strouse prosecuted Weaver at trial. At sentencing, Strouse referred to Weaver as a “manipulative, serial sexual predator,” with at least three prior victims identified throughout the course of the criminal investigation.
