Central Mountain Tennis Falls to Central Columbia 4-1
BLOOMSBURG – The Central Mountain tennis team traveled to Central Columbia Thursday afternoon, where they faced tough competition and ultimately fell 4-1.
In the singles matches, Addison Lindsay delivered a commanding performance for Central Mountain, securing the team’s only victory. Lindsay dominated Central Columbia’s Rihanna Baker, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
The second singles match saw Natalia Taylor of Central Columbia down Ellie Harry with a 6-1, 6-2 victory. In the third singles match, Central Columbia’s Macy Gearhart defeated Molly Dubbs 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles action, the Central Mountain pair of Audra Eaton and Emily Brinker fought hard but were bested by Central Columbia’s Cassandra Marte and Kaitlyn Zanoline, who took the match 6-3, 6-2. The second doubles team of Kassie Williams and Leah Wian also put up a strong effort but fell to Central Columbia’s Sydney Barry and Emily LaRouche, 6-4, 6-1.
Up next Central Mountain will host Danville next Tuesday.
