Central Mountain Tennis Falls to Jersey Shore
JERSEY SHORE – The Central Mountain girls tennis team faced a tough match against Jersey Shore on Tuesday, falling in a 4-1 decision at Jersey Shore’s home courts. Despite the loss, the Wildcats saw a strong performance from Addison Lindsay in the singles competition.
In the top singles match, Lindsay dominated her opponent, Peyton Dincher, with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 victory. However, the rest of the team fought hard but fell against a formidable Jersey Shore lineup.
Ellie Harry battled in the second singles spot but was defeated by Jersey Shore’s Josie Gerst, who secured a 6-0, 6-2 win. In the third singles, Archie Walker fell to Addison Koch, who played a commanding match, finishing with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
The doubles teams faced similar challenges. In the first doubles match, Central Mountain’s duo of Molly Dubbs and Emily Brinker put up a fight but ultimately lost to Jamison Stellfox and Julie Herman, who took the match 6-0, 6-3. The second doubles team of Audra Eaton and Kassie Williams couldn’t find their rhythm against Kendall Bubb and Ava Lanks, who won 6-0, 6-1.
Despite the loss, Central Mountain will look to build on Lindsay’s strong performance as they prepare for their next match on Tuesday at home against Shikellamy
