Bitner Bechdel American Legion Auxiliary Unit #623 Installs 2024-2025 Officers
BEECH CREEK – The 2024-2025 officers of the Bitner Bechdel American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit #623 in Beech Creek were recently installed, marking the beginning of their term. The installation ceremony was conducted by Carol Wert Walker, the ALA Department of Pennsylvania’s District President for Centre, Lycoming, and Clinton counties.
The newly installed officers seated from left to right are Allyce Boone, Assistant Treasurer; Linda Bechdel, Treasurer; Billie Orndorf, President; and Peggy Tressler, Secretary. As members of the world’s largest Veterans Service Organization (VSO), these dedicated women are committed to the ALA’s mission of “Service, Not Self.” They strive to support the American Legion, honor the sacrifices of those who serve and have served, and enhance the lives of veterans, military members, and their families. Their work spans from advocating for veterans’ rights to mentoring youth and promoting patriotism, good citizenship, peace, and security. Through their efforts, they uphold the values of God and Country, ensuring that the legacy of service continues in their community.
