BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The August work session of the Keystone Central School Board was held last night in the administration building in Bald Eagle Township.
Starting out the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Frank Redmon provided his Superintendent’s Report update to the board.
“At Liberty-Curtin, they are working on the drain and domestic water piping, electrical, and so many things happening there it is amazing,” Dr. Redmon stated. “All of the concrete pouring is complete.”
The Board was then introduced to Sam Hoy, Dr. Redmon’s recommendation for the Property Services Manager position within the district. “There is lots of work for you and people are looking forward to you getting started.”
Dr. Redmon also mentioned that HVAC air handler units, formerly in storage at the high school, are currently being placed on the roofs at Central Mountain High School in preparation for the 24-25 school year.
“The canopy at the middle school should be down by the end of the day on Friday, patching concrete, and installing a metal piece over where the canopy once was at the school,” Redmon said, “and should be ready in time for the students to return in a few weeks.
“To sum it all up, a ton of work is happening district-wide in preparation for our students to come back,” Redmon mentioned. “We are also having a big back to school welcome on August 22 welcoming folks back, and we adopted the motto ‘creating moments that matter’ so our goal is to think about our interactions all of our students have with students and to have moments that matter.”
