Keystone 50/70 downs New York with 8th Inning walk-off in East Regional

DOVER, DE- Maverick Shultz’s sac fly to score Carter Frank in the bottom of the eighth inning would give Keystone 50/70 team a walk-off victory 8-7 over New York to open East Region play in Dover, DE.
Keystone built a 2-0 lead following a strong bottom of the first inning. New York would score a single run in the top of the second and took the lead in the top of the third inning 3-2 following a pair of runs.
Keystone plated a critical run in their half of the inning to tie things up at 3-3.
New York looked to have opened the game up by scoring 3 runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Trailing 7-5, with their backs to the wall Keystone would rally in the bottom of the seventh by scoring a pair of runs to send the game into extra innings.
Despite going hitless, Shultz came through with the game winning RBI. Keystone connected on 12 hits, led by Camden Fuller’s 4 for 4 day, which included a double.
Multiple hits days from Evan Edwards, Hayden Hanley and Evan Batterson. Hanley connected on a double and Edwards legged out a triple. Carter Frank added a single.
Keystone will next meet Rhode Island on Sunday morning at 9am. Rhode Island has yet to play in Dover yet.
