SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT- Keystone looked to be cruising to the District 12 8-10 championship on Monday night in South Williamsport at Volunteer Stadium, but Loyalsock would avenge a previous loss to Keystone in their previous meeting and come from four runs down and force an “if needed” meeting on Tuesday by a 6-4 score.

3 runs on the bottom of the first inning and a single run in the bottom of the third inning had Keystone in control, 4-0. Loyalsock would battle back.

The Lycoming County squad would put up a trio of runs in both the top of the third inning and top of the fourth inning to lock up the 6-4 win.

Keystone’s Callen Bechdel and Hunter Packer led the charge at the plate with a pair of hits each. Deagan Stover added a hit, as did Jaxon Orndorf. All four accounted for the Keystone runs.

Tomorrows District 12 championship game is a win or go home situation for both. Victory will send somebody to sectionals, while defeat will end the 2024 season for the losers.
