Former Clinton County Man Wanted for Sexual Assault of a Child Takes Own Life

PARKERSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA–  At 8:20 a.m. on July 3, 2024, U.S. Marshalls assigned to the Fugitive Task Force descended on an establishment in Parkersburg, WV, based on a tip that wanted Fugitive Jimmy “Hank” Carlton Henry was employed at that location using an alias.  

As law enforcement approached, Henry reportedly suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound that proved fatal. Henry was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Henry had been listed as one of the Pennsylvania State Police’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives since he was charged with the 2020 sexual assault of a minor child in Castanea. Prior to being charged by police, Henry had fled Clinton County and deactivated his cell phone.  

Henry was charged with Aggravated Indecent Assault of a Child, Aggravated Indecent Assault, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
