Bucktail’s Keller Friese selected to All State first team
By Bees O’Brien
FARWELL- Bucktail’s Keller Friese had one of the best offensive seasons in Bucktail baseball history. On Monday the freshman outfield was rewarded by being selected as a first team All-State selection by the Pennsylvania State Baseball Coaches Association.
Friese’s .655 average, 2 home runs, 26 RBI’s, 133 doubles, 3 triples and 25 runs scored combined with his unbelievable 1.127 slugging percentage was good enough to lock up a first team all-state spot.
The outfielder and pitcher will be back for three more seasons at Bucktail, a program that showed unbelievable improvements under first-year head coach Casey Friese.
Fellow Mid Penn players also selected included Dominic Cavuto, infielder from Northwest and Montgomery freshman pitcher Briar Persing.
Friese is the first Buck player ever named to the PSBCA All-State team.
